According to reports  20 year Adam Lanza went on on a shooting rampage at  the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut where  his mother was a kindergarten teacher, it appears as if she was one of the 6 adults that was were killed  on the scene, he killed himself self as well which makes the total 27. While we do not have all of the details we are sure that none of the students murdered we not beyond the age of 4th graders. A law enforcement officer told CBS News ” Lanza apparently targeted his mother and her classroom, the official said. Most of the shooting occurred in that classroom. Some of her students were among those killed.”

In a later press conference The gunman was initially identified as 24-year-old Ryan Lanza, However recent reports has surfaced to identify him to be Ryan’s younger brother. deceased inside the school. Police did not say how the shooter died.

There was an additional dead body found at a second crime scene in Newtown its has been identified as an adult however no more details have been released ,  Vance said.

According to authorities two guns were found on Lanza’s body, a Glock 9 mm pistol and a Sig Sauer pistol. A Bushmaster assault rifle was found in his vehicle, and it appeases as if Lanza legally purchased the weapons himself. Now reports are surfacing claiming he was mentally challenged, So how was it possible for him to the weapons? Isn’t it suppose to be some sort of process to become a firearms owner, shouldn’t a person at least be mentally stable in addition to not having a criminal record?

This story is just so tragic on so many levels, Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the adults lost, the parents of all of the children killed, and the survivors of this horrific incident.

President Obama

President Obama  delivered a press conference making some heartfelt comments and statements from the White House briefing room:”Our hearts are broken today for the parents and grandparents, sisters and brothers of these little children…”Our hearts are broken for the parents of the survivors, as well. For, as blessed as they are to have their children home tonight, they know that their children’s innocence has been torn away from them too early, and there are no words that will ease their pain.”
