
Rapper Ja Rule was released from a prison in upstate New York this morning after serving time for a gun charge.
But…according to the Latimes…, “there’s a twist: Along with the two-year sentence on the state gun charge, the 36-year-old has been working though a 28-month federal sentence for tax evasion. The sentences were running concurrently, which leaves him with time still to serve in the federal case — so he’s out, but he’s not yet free.
