Law enforcement stopped the rapper Too Short, born Todd Anthony Shaw near Hollywood Boulevard laround 3 a.m this morning (March 20) for a a traffic violation and believed him to be under the influence.
According to TMZ, the former pimp attempted to run from the police before they could administer a breathalyzer test.
However, Too Short soon after tripped, was placed in custody and the Still Blowin’ MC blew a reported .09 over the .08 blood-alcohol limit of California.
Soon after being placed in custody, the West Coast legend allegedly attempted to leave narcotics he possessed in the backseat of the police cruiser.
Too $hort is being charged with drunken driving and drug possession.
Update: “TMZ Reports, … the L.A. County District Attorney has REJECTED the felony drug case, because cops only found a very small amount of drugs — which they say is meth. Given that Short does not have a felony record, the D.A. decided not to prosecute and sent the case over to the L.A. City Attorney for misdemeanor review. We’re told the City Attorney will look at the case … probably next week.
FYI … Short insists he was not in possession of drugs, and whatever was found in the back of the cop car was left by the prior arrested…”
