According to reports, President Barack Obama has signed a measure into law reopening the federal government.The White House says Obama signed the bill early yesterday (Thursday,) hours after the House gave final approval. Federal workers have already been instructed to return to work today.
However from our understanding, the decision is temporary since, the measure restores funding for the government through Jan. 15 and extends the nation’s borrowing authority through Feb. 7, 2014 Therefore that leaves any long-term agreements over the nation’s fiscal future. unfinished

The bill cleared the House on a 285-144 vote, lifted over the finish line by a large chunk of Democrats. All House Democrats voted in favor of the bill and 87 Republicans did as well. 144 Republicans voted against it.
