This past November Gov. Tom Corbett signed an execution warrant for Philadelphia Old School hip hop artist Cool C . The execution was scheduled to take place this past Thursday January 8, 2015 by lethal injection however, it has been reported that Cool was granted another stay of execution by a Philadelphia judge back in December, therefore his life was spared. The first stay was granted back in 2006.

Cool C continues to maintain his innocence as the shooter in the incident, although reports say: the co-defendants Mark Canty and Warren McGlone (Steady B) confessed to the crime yet recognized Cool as the gunman.
