A real life “Love And Basketball” scenario, After 20 years of being in the NBA as a Los Angeles Laker, 5 championships, and 2 Olympic medals, Philadelphia native Kobe Bryant announced his retirement after this season last night at the Staple Center just before a game against the Indiana Pacers, Mr Bryant penned an emotional and touching letter on The Players Tribune professing his feelings to the love of his life “Basketball” and how he has been in love with it since a 6-year boy. “I fell in love with you. A love so deep I gave you my all —From my mind & body to my spirit & soul. As a six-year-old boy Deeply in love with you I never saw the end of the tunnel.”
Bryant went into details about his interaction, dedication and his appreciation for the game to eventually end the letter with the announcement of their up coming separation.
