 Congratulations to Queen Latifah, according to reports, he has inked a multi-year
licensing deal with Flavor Unit Entertainment and production company (which is owned by Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere) with Netflix.
The agreements begins in spring 2013, will allow Netflix a first opportunity to stream movies from the Flavor Unit collection after they are released in theaters.
Currently The Flavor Unit behind upcoming Terrence Howard thriller “:House of Bodies” and the crime title Percentage, among others.

 In a recent statement to The Hollywood Reporter she expressed her excitement “Shakim and I are thrilled to do business with Netflix”. “Netflix is such a strong brand and the perfect place to showcase our projects.”

This is not the first encounter of the two, the company has produced the Latifah titles such as Bringing Down the House as well as Beauty Shop and the Lifetime original movie Steel Magnolias, which generated 6.5 million viewers in October.

The chief content officer of Netflix Ted Sarandos, also made a statement….”We are delighted to work with Queen Latifah to be the exclusive destination for what are sure to be relevant, entertaining movies,” ..”Queen Latifah has a long track record of creating hits, and Flavor Unit Entertainment is a fresh and exciting voice in the industry.”
